Chapter 642 Acceptance Successful
Chapter 642 Acceptance Successful
As dawn broke and the thin mist on Hong Kong Island still carried a hint of coolness, Cola had already made her third lap around the logistics park.
He no longer wore the dusty work clothes from yesterday, but changed into a clean, dark jacket. The bloodshot eyes were more pronounced than usual—he had been on duty in the park for most of the night, only managing to doze off for two hours on the sofa in the reception room, fearing that equipment malfunctions during the night might delay today's inspection.
"Master Huang, test the emergency lights again. This time, keep an eye on them for a full half hour to make sure the brightness doesn't decrease." Cola walked into the storage area and instructed the staff who were debugging the equipment. He was still holding the slightly crumpled acceptance checklist in his hand, and he marked each item with a pencil. The handwriting was messy but clear.
He bent down and touched the fire-retardant paint in the corner of the wall, then reached out and pushed the door of the fire hydrant to make sure it was working properly and that the fire extinguishers and hoses inside were neatly arranged before he felt a little relieved.
Not long after, Robinson arrived, carrying a thermos bag filled with warm soy milk and steamed buns.
"Eat something first. The inspection team won't arrive until nine o'clock, so there's still an hour. No need to rush."
He handed the insulated bag to Cola, speaking calmly, "I just passed by the planning bureau and saw their vehicles were all ready to go. They were all familiar faces. If we speak politely and follow our drill from yesterday, there shouldn't be any problems."
Cola took the insulated bag, opened it, took out a bun, took a bite, and the warm filling dispelled some of the chill and relieved the fatigue of the past few days.
"Thank you, Robinson. I'm still a little nervous. After all, this is the first major project in Hung Hing to be fully compliant and pass inspection. If something goes wrong, I won't be able to explain it to Brother Xuan."
Robinson patted him on the shoulder, his gaze sweeping over the neat and orderly park:
"What's the rush? We've prepared so thoroughly beforehand, with complete documentation, up-to-date facilities, and meticulous attention to every detail. The acceptance inspection is just a formality. Besides, with me here, I can coordinate any issues that arise."
He walked into the reception room, checked the documents on the table one last time, and added, "Are all the liaison personnel in place? Tell them to take their positions and not wander around. Once the inspection team arrives, guide them according to their assigned roles."
Cola nodded, quickly finished the bun in her hand, took a sip of soy milk, and immediately gathered the liaison personnel to remind them of the precautions again.
At 8:50, the sound of several official cars honking came from afar. Cola immediately stood up straight, straightened his clothes, and walked with Robinson to the park entrance to wait, with a polite and humble smile on his face.
The planning department's acceptance team consisted of eight people, divided into three groups. The leader was Section Chief Zhang, who was also an acquaintance of Robinson's from before.
"Section Chief Zhang, thank you all for your hard work and long journey. Please come to the reception room for a cup of tea and rest for a while before starting the inspection."
Robinson took the initiative to shake hands, his tone warm yet tactful.
Section Chief Zhang waved his hand with a smile: "No need to trouble yourself. We'll hurry up and finish the inspection as soon as possible so as not to delay your subsequent operations. As usual, we'll split into three groups: one to check the planning and layout, one to verify fire protection and environmental protection, and one to inspect the facilities and equipment. Thank you for leading the way."
“Of course, of course.” Robinson nodded quickly, signaling the staff to come forward and guide them. “If you have any questions, please feel free to ask our staff. They are familiar with the procedures and will answer them truthfully.”
The acceptance inspection officially began. Cola accompanied the team inspecting the facilities and equipment, checking the lifting equipment in the storage area, the signs on the transportation channels, and the sewage treatment equipment in the environmental treatment area one by one. At each location, he explained in detail the operation of the equipment and the daily maintenance procedures, and he also had a pre-prepared operation record in his hand for the inspection personnel to review.
“Our wastewater treatment equipment is tested twice a day. The test reports are all here. All indicators are better than the national standards and will not have any impact on the surrounding environment.”
Cola pointed to the test report, her tone confident, the panic in her eyes long gone, leaving only composure.
Robinson accompanied Section Chief Zhang to inspect the park's planning layout, holding the planning drawings in his hand and comparing them one by one with the actual site:
"Section Chief Zhang, as you can see, our storage area, transportation area, and office area were all built according to the original approved plan. There are no illegal constructions. The width of the fire lanes and the distance for emergency evacuation all meet the requirements. We will continue to optimize and improve the operational efficiency of the park."
Section Chief Zhang nodded as he looked through the blueprints, occasionally asking a few questions, to which Robinson answered fluently and without the slightest ambiguity.
"You did a very meticulous job; it's clear you prepared with care."
Section Chief Zhang walked into the environmental treatment area, looked at the operating equipment, and smiled with satisfaction. "Many companies nowadays neglect environmental protection. It's rare that you can do it so well."
Meanwhile, the shopping district in Causeway Bay was bustling with activity. Construction workers were busy laying the wiring for the cosmetics section. Xiao Youyi sat on a small stool in the temporary rest area, holding the revised wiring diagram in her hand, occasionally glancing up to check the construction progress. Beside her was a warm cup of milk tea, which Fang Zhanbo had bought when he passed by earlier.
"Master, the wiring must be laid according to the location on the drawing. The interface for the recessed spotlights must be reserved in place without any deviation. Otherwise, it will be very troublesome for the brand to display them later."
Xiao Youyi stood up, walked to the construction area, pointed to the location on the blueprint, and patiently gave instructions.
The worker nodded and responded with a smile:
"Ms. Ruan, rest assured, we will do everything according to your requirements. There will be no mistakes, and it will definitely not delay the subsequent construction."
Fang Zhanbo sat on the steps to the side, holding his phone, discussing the kitchen renovation details with the manager of the tea restaurant.
"Yes, the kitchen's ventilation system must be well-designed and meet environmental standards. It should not affect surrounding businesses and residents. In addition, the cold storage area needs to be expanded. You have a lot of ingredients and need sufficient storage space."
After hanging up the phone, he walked over to Xiao Youyi and handed him a tissue: "You've been busy all morning, wipe your sweat. How's the line renovation going?"
The little Jewish man took the tissue, gently wiped the light sweat from his forehead, and said with a smile:
"It's going very smoothly. The workers are all very professional. At this pace, the line modification can be completed in three days without delaying the overall project schedule. By the way, when should we send the revised line diagram to the cosmetics brand for confirmation?"
