Chapter 44 Working Hard
Chapter 44 Working Hard
"What?" Helen was so shocked that her fork fell onto her plate with a crisp sound, attracting the attention of several other tables of guests.
Helen quickly adjusted her expression, gave an apologetic smile to those around her, and with her charming face, she immediately won the forgiveness of the others.
After noticing that the others had turned their attention away, Helen frowned and asked Evan in a stern, low voice:
"What exactly happened? Explain yourself!"
Evan, still with that leisurely demeanor, said while cutting his steak:
"My brother Robert noticed something was wrong on my first day in Backlund, and I had to admit that I had become an Extraordinary, but I told him that I had become an Extraordinary via the Audience Path."
In short, I fabricated a reason to explain how I became an Extraordinary, but after careful consideration, Robert believed that I hadn't become an Extraordinary through legitimate means, which could be a problem. So he insisted on using his connections with classmates to get me into MI9 to clear my name as an Extraordinary, and I had no reason to refuse.
Hearing Evan's explanation, Helen frowned deeply. She put herself in Evan's shoes and realized that she would have done the same thing, but that would have interfered with the Gnostic Society's plan to develop Evan's infiltration of the witch cult.
The Gnostic recruited Evan with the intention of infiltrating the Witch Church, ideally becoming one of the 'husbands' of the Witch Church's high-ranking members, and then helping them uncover the Witch Church's conspiracy in Backlund.
The witches developed by the witch cult are basically their lovers and their own children. When their lovers get pregnant and give birth to their children, especially boys, they will take revenge. During the pregnancy, they will feed the men who impregnated them with "assassin" potions with hatred in their hearts, turning their lovers into best friends.
Therefore, Evan's future path will inevitably be to be turned into a woman by the Witch Cult. But if Evan joins MI9, how can Evan become a woman, how can she infiltrate the Witch Cult, and how can she gather information for them?
Helen never expected to learn such unexpected news on her first meeting with Evan today, and she didn't know what to do for a moment.
Helen was overwhelmed and at a loss. Seeing that Evan didn't seem worried at all, she said impatiently:
"Eat, eat, eat! All you ever think about is eating. Once you join MI9, you'll no longer be able to become a 'witch,' and you'll never be able to truly enter the core circle of the Witch Cult. Your long-cherished path to becoming an extraordinary being may be cut off, and you won't be able to advance any further. Aren't you worried?"
"What's the use of worrying? Besides, I've reviewed the plan you've devised for me. Even if everything goes smoothly, I'll still be just an ordinary witch from the outside of the Witch Cult, remaining on the periphery and unable to access the core secrets at all."
But I'm different now. I've become useful. I'm now someone who's been pulled into the Witch Cult's ranks, while simultaneously infiltrating the important department of MI9, planting a pawn within MI9. Isn't that something many secretive organizations would want to do?
Evan glanced at the anxious Helen and offered an explanation.
"Yes, yes, you're right. The Witch Cult may be delighted that you've joined MI9, but how will you advance to 'Witch'? By turning into a woman in front of so many extraordinary individuals in MI9?"
"If you don't become a 'witch,' you'll always be an outsider to the witch cult. What will you do about the task we've given you?"
Developing Evan, a pawn who could infiltrate the witch cult, was Helen's most outstanding task in recent years, for which she received praise and reward from her mother.
If Evan fails to infiltrate the witch's cult, all her previous investments will be wasted, and she won't know how to explain it to her mother. Thinking of her mother's ruthless methods, Helen feels a chill run down her spine.
Although the food at Serenzo's restaurant wasn't quite as Chinese as Evan had imagined, it was surprisingly delicious. Evan's mouth hadn't stopped moving from the very beginning, but seeing Helen's troubled expression, he still asked in confusion:
"Why do you see my inability to be promoted to 'Witch' in MI9 as a problem for you? This should be the Witch Cult's problem. If the Witch Cult wants me to stay in MI9, they have to solve this problem."
Evan's words left Helen speechless.
Yes, this should also be a problem for the witch cult. Why is she in such a hurry?
Thinking about this, Helen felt incredibly stupid. She secretly glanced at Evan and saw that he was trying not to laugh, almost spitting out his food.
Helen was indignant at this, but suddenly her eyes darted around, and she quietly took off her shoes, stretched out her stockinged foot, and ran it up Evan's calf.
When Evan felt the foot making small movements between his legs, his expression turned strange, and his face began to turn red.
Helen's little actions would normally only cause Evan to lose his composure slightly; Evan could have stopped her by simply clamping her little feet together.
However, Helen became enraged by Evan's mockery. Using the spider silk she had just learned to wield after her advancement, she tightly bound Evan's hands and feet, and even aroused his lust through the silk, leaving Evan helpless to stop Helen from doing whatever she wanted to him.
As time went on, Evan felt himself getting hotter and hotter, his groin swelled more and more, and his breathing became more and more rapid. Just when Evan was about to give up, a waiter who saw that Evan's wine glass was empty came and poured him some red wine, saving him.
After the waiter left with Evan's one-pound tip, Evan glared at Helen, who was there gloating and laughing.
Helen, seeing that Evan was a little angry, stopped teasing him and instead extended her fair right hand, took Evan's hand, stood up, and leaned down to whisper in Evan's ear with a tender and alluring tone:
"I miss you, I want you, I want you to take me." (Replace "want" with "take")
These words caused Evan's desire, which had just subsided, to swell rapidly, and his eyes turned red.
After Helen whispered those words, she licked Evan's ear with her tongue, then got up and left, but as she left, she put a hotel room key from across the street into Evan's pocket.
Not long after Helen left, Evan paid the bill for the meal, and then used his only sealed artifact, "Golden Gaze," to weave through the crowd like an invisible man—mainly to avoid being noticed by anyone about the bulge between his legs.
Soon, Evan arrived at the hotel opposite Serenzo's restaurant. Surprisingly, the hotel's decor was exactly the same as the restaurant's, making Evan wonder if the two properties were owned by the same person.
Evan, seemingly oblivious to everyone else, arrived at the room indicated by the room card. Just as he knocked on the door, a delicate arm pulled him inside.
Caught off guard, Evan was pulled onto the large bed in the room, while Helen, wearing only stockings, straddled him and began to wildly rip off his clothes and pants.
As a man, Evan was naturally not to be outdone. He flipped over and pinned Helen down, while also taking off his own clothes.
The battle was fully ignited, and the entire room became a battlefield, with heavy breathing echoing everywhere.
After a long while, Helen's entire body turned pink, and sweat dripped down her face. She raised her swan-like neck, opened her mouth wide, and let out a loud cry. Then she fell back into Evan's arms, and the whole room returned to calm.
Evan gently stroked Helen's wet body with his hands, his heart filled with indescribable satisfaction.
"You'd better move out of your brother's villa as soon as possible, so I can come see you anytime. You know, I've been promoted to 'Pleasure,' and I feel so empty without a man's company. Can you bear to make me suffer like this?"
Once she had calmed down a bit, Helen immediately turned around, hugged Evan's head, buried Evan deeply in her arms, and said with a hint of resentment.
Evan, of course, accepted the offer without hesitation, wrapping his arms around Helen's waist and letting his hands wander restlessly over her smooth back and snow-covered mounds, muttering in a low voice:
"I...I also want to...move out as soon as possible, but now...the timing isn't right, I...I still need to wait...for a while."
As they talked, their emotions surged, and they became entangled once more, reigniting their passion. This time, Helen even used her spider silk to unlock countless positions, leaving Evan, a man "well-traveled" on Earth, thoroughly entertained.
"This is one of my bases. I basically live here. Come find me if you miss me."
Helen remained naked, her legs crossed, showing off her figure, lying on her side on the bed, watching Evan get dressed.
Evan straightened his collar and said with a wry smile:
"As Emperor Roselle once said, there are only oxen that die from exhaustion, not land that is over-plowed. If I had come a couple more times, I might have lost my life in your hands."
Helen chuckled, then asked mischievously:
"Would you like me to prepare some mummy ashes for you?"
Evan groped Helen's breasts, then sneered:
"You're getting all worked up just because I said you're fat. Alright, stop pretending. Do you think I don't know what's wrong with you?" With that, Evan left the room.
After Evan left, Helen breathed a sigh of relief and lay down on the bed, savoring the intense, sweaty thrusts Evan had just made, feeling the soreness all over her body, and couldn't help but laugh and scold:
"He's as strong as a dragon! Mom said that extreme pleasure is extreme pain—what a profound truth!"
As Evan left the hotel, the sun was almost setting. Looking back at his room on the third floor, Evan couldn't help but let out a cold laugh.
"If you don't show me some real skill, you'll really think I'm made of clay. Don't just think I can't subdue one, I could handle several more."
Then Evan called another carriage and headed towards the Backlund Bridge district. He still had to meet Kaspars Kanlinin, which took up the whole afternoon, and it was almost dark.
