Chapter 514 You misheard, that's not true.

Upon hearing this answer, Lin Yin's face immediately darkened, a barely perceptible hint of anger flashing in his eyes. But he quickly regained his composure, though a storm seemed to be brewing beneath his seemingly calm exterior. This caused the snow elf to feel worried, cold sweat breaking out on her brow.

"It seems your visit has yielded nothing... That's truly disappointing." Lin Yin narrowed his eyes slightly, looking at the snow elf in front of him with a half-smile, his words seemingly concealing a deeper meaning.

Upon hearing this, the snow elf trembled and hurriedly flapped its wings to fly to the ground. It knelt down on both knees and said in fear and trepidation, "Your subordinate is incompetent. Please punish me severely, Master! I failed to find any useful clues for you. I deserve to die!"

Lin Yin slowly turned around, gently waved his hand, signaling the snow elf to get up, and said in a gentle tone, "Alright, alright, get up quickly. The reason I sent you here this time was not only to find clues, but more importantly, to heal Huo'er's injuries. Now that Huo'er's injuries have healed, your mission will be successfully completed. As for the rest, leave it to Jun Gui and Zui Weng to handle."

The snow elf, relieved to have been forgiven by her master, quickly expressed her gratitude, saying, "Thank you for your mercy, Master! I will do my utmost to assist Lord Falcon and Lord Drunken Old Man in completing the follow-up mission!" With that, she carefully stood up and took flight.

"Very well, then. You may leave now." Lin Yin nodded, issuing the order to leave.

After receiving the order, the snow elf turned to leave. Just then, she exchanged a glance with the fire elf beside her, and then they both transformed into two beams of light and vanished from the spot in an instant.

Just then, a slight noise came. Huan Rugo, rubbing her sleepy eyes, sat up from the bed, clearly awakened by the commotion. Seeing this, Lin Yin's lips curled into a gentle smile, and he asked softly, "Did I wake you?"

Huan Rugo rubbed her eyes, still sleepy, and said to Lin Yin, "Lin Yin, where's Huo'er? I think I just heard Huo'er's voice."

Lin Yin looked at Huan Rugo gently and said, "You misheard...!"

"How is this possible...? Am I dreaming?" Huan Rugo asked Lin Yin with a look of doubt.

"Maybe! Still sleeping?" Lin Yin revealed a meaningful smile.

Huan Rugo stared wide-eyed at Lin Yin, pointing to her chest. She looked at him with a weary expression and asked weakly, "I'm so tired right now. Can I get some more sleep?" Her once bright eyes were now dull and lifeless from exhaustion.

Lin Yin frowned slightly and answered without hesitation, "Don't sleep. If you don't want to sleep, then come with me! After all, it's almost dawn, and even if you go to sleep now, you won't be able to sleep for long..." As he spoke, he reached out and gently patted Huan Ruge's shoulder, as if trying to wake her from her drowsiness.

Huan Ruge nodded vaguely, but couldn't help asking curiously, "But where are we going...?" Her voice was light and airy, as if a gentle breeze could blow it away.

Lin Yin didn't answer her question immediately. Instead, he smiled slightly, revealing a mysterious expression, and said softly, "Just follow me. You'll know when we get there." With that, he started walking forward on his own.
