Zhao coaxed Guiling into her room and even gave her a piece of candy. Guiling didn't sense any malice and sat down to eat the candy.

Zhao asked:

"Siya! You look so beautiful today, where have you been?"

"Second Aunt! My mother is taking me to town to play."

Zhao said to the two children:

Si Ya is well-behaved:

"younger brother!"

When Guiling saw Li being beaten, she secretly ran away! But she couldn't find anyone. So she cried and walked towards the east end, not knowing which way was which! She usually saw her older sisters walking this way.

The little girl walked along, crying and shouting:

"Father! Eldest sister! Second sister! Third sister!"

She cried and shouted, but saw no one on the road. Alone, she felt utterly helpless! Passing by Yang's mill, Hongli heard the noise and curiously came out to see what was happening.

"Hey! Isn't that Siya?!"

Hongli ran over, took Guiling's hand, and asked:
