The Metaphysical Little Beggar's Rebirth: I'm an Unlucky Star

Chapter 133 Grandpa Shu

Chapter 133 Grandpa Shu

However, since Fan Yao's condition was unclear, Shu Wanwan was unwilling to delay and hoped to rush to the scene as soon as possible to understand the situation.

Not long after, Shu Wanwan and Yi Siyang arrived at Fan Yao's investment company.

Upon entering the company, Shu Wanwan immediately sensed a tense atmosphere pervading the space. The air seemed frozen, suffocating. She frowned slightly, a sense of unease welling up within her. Peering through the conference room window, she saw Fan Yao and the other employees with serious expressions. It was clear that the project's challenges were far more severe than they had anticipated.

Upon returning to the office, Fan Yao immediately plunged into work without a moment's rest. She sat down with her team members and began an intense and heated discussion. Everyone's face was solemn as they offered their insights and suggestions. A tense atmosphere permeated the meeting room, everyone aware of the tight deadline and the need to find a solution quickly.

Seeing Shu Wanwan coming, Fan Yao nodded to Shu Wanwan through the glass of the conference room, and then continued the meeting.

At this moment, Fan Yao suddenly noticed a detail. It seemed insignificant, but it sparked suspicion. She keenly grasped this insight and quickly began to think. She believed this detail might be inextricably linked to the entire project's flaws. If she dug deeper, she might find the key to solving the problem.

Meanwhile, Shu Wanwan began to wander around the company. Her eyes widened, she carefully observed every corner, trying to find any signs of supernatural power. Yi Siyang followed silently behind her, watching her every move.

Shu Wanwan walked through the office lobby, looking around but finding nothing unusual. She frowned and muttered to herself, "No, this is like looking for a needle in a haystack."

She stopped, closed her eyes, took a few deep breaths, and then focused on feeling the air around her. Suddenly, she felt a faint but unusual fluctuation coming from an office at the end of the corridor.

She opened her eyes and fixed her gaze on the office, feeling an inexplicable tension in her heart. She walked towards the office cautiously, and Yi Siyang followed closely behind.

As they approached the office, the door suddenly opened automatically with a creaking sound. Shu Wanwan's heart tightened, but she stepped into the room without hesitation.

The room was filled with an old smell, the walls were a little yellowed, and there were some documents and office supplies piled on the desk. The whole room seemed dark and damp, giving people a feeling of depression.

"The utility room?" Shu Wanwan muttered to herself.

She couldn't help but feel confused. Although Fan Yao's company had been open for several years, it shouldn't be so old.

Shu Wanwan frowned, feeling a little uneasy. She began to look around carefully, and suddenly she noticed a strange ornament on the desk - an ancient bell.

The bell, suspended in mid-air on a black wooden frame, looks quite old, exuding an eerie aura. Its surface is smooth and warm, as if honed by time. A small copper ring sits on top, producing a clear, melodious sound when gently shaken.

Shu Wanwan carefully picked up the bell and examined it. She discovered some strange symbols and patterns engraved on the inside of the bell. These patterns seemed to contain some mysterious power. She tried to decipher these symbols, but they were too complex for her to understand.

Just as she was lost in thought, a breeze blew by, causing the bells to sway gently, making a crisp sound. The sound echoed in the silent room, making people feel creepy.

Shu Wanwan's heartbeat quickened, and she felt a chill running down her spine.

After a while, she regained her composure and began to observe the bell carefully again. She discovered some strange symbols engraved on the inside of the bell, and these patterns seemed familiar.

"Where have I seen this symbol before?"

Shu Wanwan frowned, thinking carefully. It wasn't hard to recall, because this symbol had appeared many times—on the ancient temple walls and on the stone in front of the cave!

Even though she had seen them before, Shu Wanwan was unable to decipher these runes. Although these symbols could be seen as a system, they were too complex to be deciphered at all.

Yi Siyang looked at the bell in Shu Wanwan's hand, and a strange light flashed in his eyes. He didn't understand why this bell appeared here.

Shu Wanwan was carefully looking at the runes on the bell when suddenly, a gust of cold wind blew again, making her shiver.

"There's something strange about this bell." Shu Wanwan whispered.

Yi Siyang took a step forward and looked at the bell carefully. "It looks like an ancient battle formation is engraved on it."

Shu Wanwan nodded, thinking of the stone she had seen in front of the cave in Helin Village before, "It should be true."

The two decided to study it further and wanted to take the bell out to ask Fan Yao, but the black wooden frame on it was too much of a hindrance, so Yi Siyang wanted to take the bell down.

Just as Yi Siyang reached out to take the bell off the black frame, the whole room suddenly fell into darkness, and a powerful force trapped them tightly.

In the darkness, the wind was blowing coldly everywhere. Shu Wanwan and Yi Siyang stood back to back. Shu Wanwan didn't know whether Yi Siyang was reliable or not, but in this situation, she could only turn her back to him. Shu Wanwan looked around vigilantly.

Suddenly, the bells rang out with a clear sound, the sound making your scalp tingle, "Ding-dong, ding-dong."

At this moment, a mysterious light shot out from the bell, illuminating the entire room.

A blurry figure emerged from the light, its face indistinct. Shu Wanwan and Yi Siyang stared at the figure nervously, only to see it slowly reach out its hand and grab towards the bell.

"No, stop it!" Shu Wanwan yelled, and rushed towards the figure with Yi Siyang. However, their bodies seemed to be restrained by an invisible force, and they could not get close to the bell.

Seeing the figure about to grab the bell, Shu Wanwan was extremely anxious. She concentrated her mind and mobilized all her spiritual power to try to break free.

Finally, there were signs of loosening of the restraints.

"Break!" A peach wood sword appeared in Shu Wanwan's hand. Shu Wanwan swung the sword and the peach wood sword cut off the restraints.

Just as the figure was about to touch the bell, Shu Wanwan successfully reached out and grabbed the bell. She held the bell tightly, fighting against the mysterious force.

At this moment, the figure in the light became clearer. Shu Wanwan was stunned. She found that it was actually an old man with a kind face.

"Grandpa Shu!!"
