Chapter 140 Return to 2 Grimmauld Place
Chapter 140 Return to 2 Grimmauld Place
Draco and Ariana were saying goodbye reluctantly. Aires dragged Draco away reluctantly, ignoring the angry Ariana.
"It's useless to do all this," said Aeris. "If you don't know, you two will be separated forever."
After saying goodbye to their adoptive parents and grandfather, Aeris and Draco took a taxi to Number 12 Grimmauld Place in northwest London.
After telling Aeris the exact location of Number 12 Grimmauld Place, Professor Dumbledore left on his own without going with Aeris and Draco.
When Aeris and Draco arrived at Grimmauld Place, they met Hermione who was also there with her luggage.
"Hermione, have you also received Professor Dumbledore's information?" Aeris asked.
Hermione nodded. "I can't believe you went through something so dangerous," said Hermione. "A whole bunch of Dementors..."
Aeris and Hermione hugged each other, and Draco moved closer, but was pushed away by Hermione in disgust.
"There are only numbers 11 and 13 here," Draco inquired, "where is the... number?" Draco was stunned for a moment because he couldn't say the number.
"Obviously, the Fidelius Charm," Aeris said. "Think about that position, and you should be able to see ..."
A magnificent house appeared between No. 11 and No. 13, or rather it used to be magnificent. Now it looked dirty and messy, and even the windows on it looked so filthy.
Aeris, Hermione, and Draco dragged their luggage forward and came to the scratched, black-painted door. The door handle was a coiled silver python.
Aeris took out his magic wand and knocked on the python-shaped door handle with it. Bursts of sound came from the door, and the door opened, and old Kreche's ugly head popped out.
"It's Master Grindelwald," Old Krecher bowed respectfully and looked at Draco again. His behavior became even more respectful. "And Master Malfoy..."
Old Krecher finally looked at Hermione, all his respect gone, "Excuse me, Master Grindelwald, Master Malfoy, I'm afraid Mudbloods are not allowed to enter my mistress's house..." Old Krecher said.
"Please be flexible, Mr. Krecher," said Aerys. "Hermione is our friend."
"This..." Old Kreche was very hesitant.
"Come on, Krecher, let us all in," Draco said impatiently. "Are you going to leave us standing outside the door all night?"
"Okay!" Old Kreche said finally, "If the two young masters insist..."
Old Krechirch bowed respectfully and invited Aeris and Draco into the hall, but he straightened up when Hermione passed by him.
"Don't be angry..." Aeris whispered to Hermione, and Hermione just shook her head to show that she didn't mind.
What came into view was a long corridor with worn carpet on the floor and badly peeling wallpaper on the walls. The gas lamps and candlesticks along the wall and the chandeliers on the ceiling were all in the shapes of various snakes.
There were many old, blackened portrait frames on the walls, one of the largest of which seemed to be a full-length portrait, covered by insect-eaten, moldy curtains.
An umbrella stand that seemed to be made of a giant's thigh stood by the wall, taking up a lot of space. "Please walk lightly, young masters," said old Kleche respectfully, "otherwise it might wake up the portrait of my mistress. After learning the cause of Master Regulus' death, my mistress was even more heartbroken..."
Aris, Hermione and Draco tiptoed out of the porch. Mrs. Weasley came out from behind a door. "Aris! Dear, Dumbledore said you would come over tonight." Mrs. Weasley said.
Mrs. Weasley warmly hugged Aeris, Hermione and Draco in turn, and old Krecher bowed respectfully once more before heading towards the basement.
"Have you had dinner yet, children?" Mrs. Weasley asked, and seeing everyone nod, Mrs. Weasley continued, "Come on then, I'll show you to your bedrooms."
Led by Mrs. Weasley, the three of them came to the second floor. The wall beside the stairs was covered with the heads of house-elves, which made this section of stairs look scary and weird.
"The former owner of this place was really twisted," Hermione said dissatisfiedly, "Does he need to use the head of a house elf as a decoration?"
"Who says it isn't?" said Mrs. Weasley. "But this is an honor for the house-elves. Old Krecher's greatest wish is that after his death, his head can be hung here with these ancestors."
Ginny poked her head out of a room and seemed to find that it was not Harry, with a look of disappointment on her face.
"This is your room, Hermione," said Mrs. Weasley, "with Ginny."
Ginny pulled Hermione into the bedroom with a smile.
Mrs. Weasley arranged for Aris and Draco to stay on the third floor. Ron poked his head out of the second room and greeted Aris and Draco.
Before they knew it, it was already very late at night. After making arrangements with Aeris and Draco, Mrs. Weasley left.
Aeris and Draco's bedroom was a dark, high-ceilinged room with two once-ornate beds, a large wardrobe, and a framed portrait on the wall from which the sound of snoring could be heard.
Aeris and Draco each chose a large bed, said good night to each other, and fell into a deep sleep on their respective beds.
