Chapter 269: Interesting Stories on the Return Journey

Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji had been living at the Wei Clan for almost a month. Their lives had been peaceful and fulfilling, but their hearts were still etched in the Cloud Recesses.

Finally, Wei Wuxian decided to return to the Cloud Recesses with Lan Wangji.

Wei Wuxian looked around in surprise, searching for the source of the sound. Finally, his eyes fell on Tayun. Tayun was wagging his tail, his eyes sparkling.

Wei WuXian burst into laughter and said, "That's great. Now, can Xiaobai, Cailuan, and Baiyu speak too?"

Tayun shook his head and said, "They can't do it yet, but I believe they will learn it soon."

Lan Wangji watched Wei Wuxian and Tayun interact, and the corners of his mouth curled up slightly.

Lan Sizhui looked at Tayun curiously, his eyes full of surprise.

They continued walking forward, Xiaobai and Tayun running happily ahead, Cailuan and Baiyu circling in the sky. Wei Wuxian chatted with Tayun as they walked, learning about their lives in the storage space.

Tayun told Wei Wuxian that the storage space was filled with rich spiritual energy, and that their cultivation there was going very smoothly. Furthermore, there were many magical places there that opened their eyes.

After walking for a while, they came to a small town which was bustling with people coming and going.

When Wei Wuxian saw someone selling candied haws, his eyes lit up and he pulled Lan Wangji and Lan Sizhui over.

"Boss, give me three strings of candied haws." Wei Wuxian said with a smile.

The boss enthusiastically handed over the candied haws and said, "Sir, please take this. This candied haws is very sweet."

Wei Wuxian took the candied haws and handed one to Lan Wangji and Lan Sizhui. He took a bite himself and said, "Mmm, really sweet. Lan Zhan, Sizhui, you try some."

Lan Wangji looked at Wei Wuxian's happy expression and took a bite of the candied haws.

Lan Sizhui took the candied haws with some embarrassment and took a light bite.

They ate candied haws while strolling through the town. Xiaobai and Tayun were also attracted by the town's bustle. They moved among the crowd, curiously observing everything around them. Cailuan and Baiyu circled in the sky, watching their surroundings warily.

Suddenly, Wei Wuxian saw a familiar figure. He looked closely and found it was Jiang Cheng.

Jiang Cheng also saw Wei Wuxian and the others. He walked over and said, "Wei Wuxian, why are you here?"

Wei Wuxian smiled and said, "We were on our way back to the Cloud Recesses and stopped by here. Jiang Cheng, why are you here too?"

Jiang Cheng said, "I'm here to do something."

Wei Wuxian chatted with Jiang Cheng for a while, then said, "Jiang Cheng, we're leaving. We'll get together again next time we have the chance."

They took Xiaobai, Cailuan, Tayun and Baiyu with them and walked into the Cloud Recesses. The Cloud Recesses was still peaceful and beautiful, as if nothing had changed.

Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji returned to the quiet room, while Lan Sizhui went about his business. Xiaobai and Tayun ran around happily in the quiet room, while Cailuan and Baiyu flew around the courtyard.

Wei Wuxian lay on the couch, looking at Lan Wangji, and said, "Lan Zhan, it feels so good to be back this time."

Lan Wangji sat aside, looked at Wei Wuxian, and said, "Well, we will always be here from now on."

Wei WuXian smiled and said, "Okay, from now on we will always be together and not go anywhere."

Their lives returned to their former peace, but were filled with happiness and warmth. Xiaobai, Cailuan, Tayun and Baiyu also became part of their lives, bringing them endless joy.
