Chapter 549 - 568: Welcoming Juju with a Banner
Chapter 549 - 568: Welcoming Juju with a Banner
This was what the fans who entered later saw.
...
[What the hell?]
[This sudden shift in tone is insane.]
Of course, they weren’t the only ones in the discussion. Another group had started a new thread to talk about Jiang Qiuqiu attending Federation University.
[Juju’s going to the Spirit Healing Department, right?]
[Any classmates from the same department? Let’s go camp out at the new student registration point tomorrow! Gotta see our girl in person!]
[It’s probably hard to find anyone from the Spirit Healing Department. I’m not in it, I’m in the finance department next door, but we can pick a spot and camp out together.]
[Me too! +1]
A group of Federation University upperclassmen gathered together.
[It’s hard to chat here. Why don’t we start a group chat?]
Instantly, several people responded. They left a group ID and moved the discussion to the new chat.
It was much more convenient to talk in the group chat.
Someone suggested, why not just make a banner tomorrow?
[A banner? What should we write on it?]
[Just... ’Welcome, Juju’?]
[Maybe not. This is a university, and not everyone is a fan of Juju’s. It might look bad if we hang a banner like that on the first day of school.]
That was a good point.
So after some discussion, they decided to hang a banner welcoming new students in the Realm of Spirit designated area instead.
And they would print a spatula on the banner’s background.
[That way, those in the know will know.]
[And those who don’t will just think we’re really enthusiastic.]
[Brilliant!]
[I can’t wait to see Juju!]
[We’re gonna be schoolmates... This is awesome!]
None of them could contain their excitement.
And just as emotional as the students was Zhu Tiansheng, dean of the Spirit Healing Department.
Tomorrow was the first day of school for the Spirit Healing Department. They had sent out 319 acceptance letters this year, and he wondered if everyone would show up to register.
He’d heard his old friend Ai’er mention that a young prodigy she knew had enrolled in the Healing System. She’d only brought it up in passing and hadn’t mentioned a name, so he’d been glancing through the student profiles.
’Who could it be?’ he wondered. ’There are very few A-level students this year. Anyone Ai’er would call a prodigy must be truly extraordinary.’
’Is it her? The Group Healer who uses dance as a medium?’
’Or this one, who uses a musical instrument?’
Zhu Tiansheng scanned the list and decided the most likely candidate was a young student who, like Ai’er, could heal directly with True Spiritual Power.
His initial disappointment over this year’s smaller class size vanished as he reviewed the list. The numbers were low, but each student had their own unique specialty. It was a case of quality over quantity.
He smiled and closed the list. ’I must teach them well this year,’ he thought, ’and make sure every one of these gifted individuals reaches their full potential.’
The old dean had just stood up to get some rest when he received a call from an old classmate, General Yuan.
"Hello? Old Yuan?"
"Old Zhu?" Mr. Yuan’s voice boomed with energy. "Sleeping already? I figured a health-conscious old man like you would be turning in soon."
"If you knew I was resting, why call?" Dean Zhu shot back. "What is it? What’s the matter?"
"I’m just calling to tell you about someone who’s apparently heading your way to study this year. If it’s not too much trouble, keep an eye out for them."
"Keep an eye out for them?" he asked, surprised. "Since when do you need to pull strings and call in favors, you old relic?"
"What favors and back doors!" Mr. Yuan huffed. "She has real talent! Does she need me to pull strings for her? I guarantee the moment you see her, you’ll be the one sticking to her like glue. I’m just making this call to repay a favor, just going through the motions."
"...Me? Sticking to her?" Dean Zhu was incredulous. "What’s her name? Who could possibly make me do that?"
’Impossible!’
